Pinball Podcasts are Awesome!

For the last couple of years I have been listening to pinball podcasts. They have exposed me to a broader pinball culture and community and were one of the driving forces for starting this website.

There are a ton of pinball podcasts out there with lots of back episodes, so search your favorite podcast service and dive in. For me podcasts come and go over time, and these are the ones I am currently listening to.

(I’m not much of a last name person, so I hope the podcasters don’t mind the lack of last names.)

Head 2 Head Pinball

Head 2 Head is a great weekly podcast. It started out with Martin and Ryan and recently switched to Martin and Joe. I get my pinball news of the week from their podcast and never have to search online to find out what is happening. In addition to the news and their pinball exploits, they have had an amazing collection of interviews over the past 100 episodes! Head 2 Head has been the podcast that I have stuck with since they started. Thanks Martin, Ryan, and Joe!

Loser Kid Pinball Podcast

The Loser Kid podcast is what finally got me to start this website. Listening to episode 4 motivated me to write my first post Tournament pinball vs. Pinball. Josh and Scott discuss the news, talk about what is happening with them, and do occasional interviews, but what I particularly like about their podcast is the tone. They just seem like two nice guys talking about pinball.

Backbox Pinball Podcast

Backbox is the newest podcast to make my list but is currently my favorite. Lauren is having a guest host every week, and it is a refreshing change to be able to hear pinball conversations and discussions from the female perspective. I applaud Lauren’s intro music choices and am enjoying the “inside the pinballer” questions!

Rip Tide Pinball Podcast

Rip Tide is another great pinball podcast by women, Krystle and Stephanie. Their enthusiasm and excitement about playing, competing, and working on pinballs comes through the podcast. The only downside is that the podcast doesn’t come out very often. BTW: I am a huge Seawitch fan!

Mrs. Pin’s Pinball Podcast

Mrs. Pin is pure energy and enthusiasm for pinball! She has leapt into pinball culture with both feet and has taken the world by storm. The podcast is a little in your face and raw, but Mrs. Pin’s positive attitude carries you along with her exploits.

About David Lee

I play in the East Bay, mostly in Alameda, Oakland and Emeryville. Oakland Pinball Warriors is my main monthly tournament, and only occasionally make it to San Francisco for tournaments. My IFPA ranking bounces around 500, depending on how many tournaments I get to. I am DavidLee on Pindigo and LEE on scoreboards
